Voicemail Providers Knowledge Base
Why do wireless providers attach those stupid comments at the end of your voicemail greetings? Whenever I call someone's voicemail or if someone gets mine, after the recorded greeting is another dumb voice that pipes in "If you would like to page this person press whatever, if you would like to leave a voicemail wait for the beep." (As if we didn't know how to leave a voicemail, I think answering machines only had the beep and have been around for like twenty years) Anyways, it adds like 10-15 more seconds and I find it very irritating.
Why do wireless providers charge you minutes to check your voicemail? Does anyone else think this is ridiculus? I know both Verizon and Cingular do it, is there any companies that don't? When you dial their call center for assistance, they don't chrage you. In response to jaskermace: When you call their call center for assistance, they don't charge you, so why should they charge you to check your voicemail. Also, are you saying I shoulnd't check my voicemail between 7am and 9pm?
What VOICEMAIL capacity does your cellular provider have? Hi! :) I wondered what the message capacity is for the voicemailboxes of different cellular service providers? With Verizon, we can only have 20 at a time. It can be any combination of new and/or saved messages. For various reasons, this isn't always enough for me, and I'm going to contact Verizon with a well-thought out plea for larger voicemail capacity. I'm even willing to PAY for the extra feature, since the regular VM is free. But so far, they won't even let you pay for expanded capacity. It simply isn't an option (strange -- don't they want to make more money??) Because I want to sound as knowledgeable as possible when I contact Verizon, I thought it'd be helpful to cite how things are with other cellular companies, especially if those other companies have larger VM capacities, and/or the option to pay for more storage. Please tell me your cellular service provider, and your voicemail message limit. Thanks! :)
How do I dial directly to a voicemail without ringing someone's cell phone aka "voicemail backdoor"? I know there is a way to get directly to the voicemail box of a Cingular customer by dialing 405-664-6953 and then entering their 10 digit mobile number. I have learned that the number for T-mobile is 805-MESSAGE. I have heard it refered to as the "voicemail backdoor" because you can leave someone a voicemail without their cell phone ever ringing. Does anyone know how to do this with other cell phone providers like US Cellular, Sprint, Alltel, or any other US cell phone providers? Thanks. In response to the first answer I received, what is the number that Verizon customers dial to check their voicemail? Is there a number other then your own number you can dial to get the option to enter a Verizon Mobile phone number? How do you access voicemail like in this way if you have a different carrier or if you are on a landline?
How do I disable voicemail on my cell phone? I would like to know how I can disable the voicemail feature on my cell phone so that my phone will continue to ring until I answer it. Do I have to call my service provider (which is Fido)? My phone is an LG Gossip (in case that helps at all). Thank you.
How can I check my cell's voicemail, from another phone? How can I check my At&t cell phone's voicemail, from another cell phone provider or a land line? with verizon, I used to just enter my password when it went to voicemail, but with att doesn't work that way... any sudgestions?
Criket phone outgoing calls go to voicemail? I have criket as a provider and huawei cell, when calling some cells they literally go to voicemail, they maybe at most ring once or twice , one of the cells i call frequently is a tmobile cell , i checked this phone and all the voicemail setting are set normal, to let calls go to vm after 5-10 rings.
Looking for landline phone service with web based voicemail.? I have a land line phone line that I want to keep for emergency purposes. However I'm getting so many unsolicited phone calls that its unusable. I want to unplug the phone and have everything routed to web accessible voicemail. Does any phone service provider have this. And no I'm not interested in setting up my own Asterix PBX.
Tracking voicemail whenever it isn't on missed calls list? I have Ntelos as my cell phone provider. I received two voicemails but did not have enough service for the calls to show up. Is there anyway you can find out who left the voicemail? I know when I had AT&T you could press * something to retrieve it. If anyone could help that would be great! Thanks!
Voicemail provider with no voicemail service "brand" mentioned? I would like a voicemail account for a fledgling little business. However, I do NOT want the voicemail service to list their name before or after my voicemail message to advertise themselves. I have signed up for 2 voicemail boxes only to find out that they do this by saying something like, "The XYZ service customer you have called is unavailable." and then playing my voicemail greeting. I want it to play my voicemail greeting ONLY. Can someone tell me a service which does it this way?
Saving Blackberry 8530 voicemail forever? My Blackberry only stores saved voicemail messages for a certain amount of time before deleting them. I have an important, sentimental voicemail message that I would love to permanently have to myself but I have no idea what to do. I've considered downloading this "YouMail" application but it seems a little sketchy to me and requires replacing my providers voicemail with YouMail's voicemail service. I don't want to have to do that. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to do and how to do it?
Trying to figure out my voicemail mailbox number for AT&T? Hi, recently I have been applying for jobs, and my phone and voicemail is very important. I have always put off setting up my voicemail, but now I need to. When I call it says to enter a 10 digit number given to me by my cell phone provider. I don't know what this is? Can someone please tell me where I can figure out what it is :] Thanks.
How do you fix window media player 11? Ever since my computer updated to WMP11, it won't play anything but files ripped to it after it updated, and only then if they're in WMA. None of the MP3's or WAV files I have on my computer will play with it. Every other player on my computer still plays them fine, but not WMP11. I tried rolling back to WMP10, followed microsofts instructions exactly, but they still wouldn't play. I reinstalled WMP11, nothing. My voicemail is really complicated to access by phone, so I use the website, but they require WMP, can't use any other programs, and WMP11 won't play streaming content, either! Only WMA files, placed on my computer after I installed WMP11, will play. I've called my voicemail provider, no help, where I got my computer, nothing. I need to get my voicemails! Help! Someone!
Can you turn off voicemail on Yahoo Voice? Hi, I am trying to decide between skype and yahoo, but i need this answer for both. If you are already on a call, and someone is calling you, can they get the busy signal instead of being sent to voicemail? i do not want the 2nd call to popup and ask me to accept or reject. i just want the option of either being able to turn off the voicemail, and call waiting, or setting it up to give a busy signal when i am already on a call. Any suggestions? If you know of any provider that does this not Vonage or Callcentric because I am already using those, I'm trying to see if I can save even more money!
Quick Question About Voicemail? I was wondering, instead of subscribing to voicemail through my cell phone service provider, is there a Java program that I could upload to my phone that would automatically answer if I don't pick up, play a recording, then record a message? If it doesn't exist, how possible is it to make such a program?
AT&T cell phone voicemail set up? I have set up a voicemail, but I want to change it. At the moment, I am using the standard greeting, but my recorded name still plays when the lady says "(name) is unavailable/on the phone." I want to remove the name, so she says "(number) is unavailable/on the phone." I've tried checking all the voicemail set up options, but haven't found how to change it back. Is it possible, and if so, how can it be done? Please remember, I have AT&T as my service provider, so the voicemail set up options vary from company to company. Thanks in advance!
Question on Cellular Service Providers? I'm currently with Verizon and am having problems where at times I don't get calls, text messages, and voicemail's that I receive. I'm looking into going with a different wireless provider. For those of you who have: Sprint, AT&T, US Cellular, T Mobile do you get good reception in remote areas? I go camping a lot, and some of the campgrounds are in very rural areas with very small towns, and with Verizon I've always gotten service. How good are these other companies with reception in rural areas? Places in the mountains? Thanks
What does 'The person you are calling is not available at this time' mean? I'm trying to call a number and recieve an automated voice message 'The person you are calling is not available at this time'. I didn't know phone service providers even had that message anymore. Is it that the phone number is out of service? or the person has turned off their phone? Out of the service area? I know with my pbone company one can still, at least, leave a voicemail message if my phone is turned off.
HTC Hero losing my Text Messages and Going to Voicemail? Hi, I got a HTC Hero from 3 Mobile back in April, and I'm encountering the following issues. >> Don't receive all my text messages >> Incoming Calls go to Voicemail even with full signal, sometimes it will ring. Now I've done some research and almost all HTC Hero users have this error, and has not been fixed since August 2009 when people started noticing the issue; and effects all providers not just 3 Mobile. Now I'm paying £25.00 a month for a phone which doesn't work, and have another 1 Year and 10 Months of my contract left; so if a replacement doesn't solve the issue (I doubt because it's an issue with firmware 1.5 (Latest Version for Hero), then will they have to give me the next model up which doesn't have this issue (HTC Desire) and still charge me £25.00 (Currently Paying) and not £30.00 (Cost for HTC Desire) ? Also tried Factory Settings and Formatting the SD Card, Removing Battery and so on.
Why can't I access my voicemail? My service provider is Tmobile. I have a Nokia 5230 Nuron touch screen phone. The phone rings when it want to. Today it said I had voicemails. I pressed the voicemail key and it dialed. It asked me to do the normal enter my password. Then it said you have 330 and started playing a voicemail from long ago. The other day I received a text message from January 2000 from my bestfriend. Is it the phone or the service?
How do I record my voice or a voicemail onto my computer? I need to save a voicemail for court but my provider (Boost Mobile) doesn't offer a save option for long periods of time. So, how can I put my phone on speaker and let my computer record the message through the microphone? I did an internet search and got bombarded with info that doesn't apply to my situation 100%. I need a cheap solution, not "go buy a mini voice recorder" or "buy a cord to connect from your phone to your computer". I need a simple program, meaning not something with a lot of editing software. I need it simple, just record and play. Thank you in advance for your help.
What is the best cell phone provider in Toronto? Currently, I am with Rogers but I am looking to make that switch to a better mobile phone provider. These days, there are so many to choose from such as Fido, Koodo, Wind, Public Mobile, Chat-R, etc. Which ones are the better choices? I am looking for something that would provide me with unlimited calling and text throughout the day, voicemail, and call display. Those are my main needs...any suggestions/feedback would be very appreciated! And I prefer a provider with no contracts...don't wanna be stuck with a company for 2-3 years!
How do you turn OFF voicemail on a LG Viewty Ku990i (provider: Orange)? I really, really don't like having voice-mail on, as checking it takes up my phone credit. My phone provider is Orange. I feel like I've gone through every single setting on my phone but I can't figure out how to turn off the voice-mail. I've had the phone for almost two years now and I'm really lost! Model: LG Viewty KU990i Network Provider: Orange Tarrif: Pay as you Go
How to stop others using my number to prank private blocked numbers? I have been getting repeated calls daily from upset people who are getting numerous calls "from this number" every day, though I haven't called them. When I called my provider, they said if someone is calling from a private/blocked number and the call recipient has these numbers blocked, they can enter whatever number they want and have that displayed. I have an idea who this is (few people have THIS much time on their hands or gradeschool mentality!), but is there any way for ME to stop these people from doing this? I don't want to change my number because I've been using it as I grow my personal business over the past year and a number of people know it now. The only thing I've been able to think of is to leave a message on my voicemail stating that I'm not the one making these calls and they need to have the number traced & press charges with the police. Does anyone else know of anything I can do?
What is a good plan that works on the iPhone? I got an unlocked iPhone 4, but a lot of the cheap plans that i wanted dont work with it. Im looking for a provider in Canada that can give me free texting, voicemail, caller id, and about 100 minutes for 20-30 dollars a month. Anybody know of one? They all seem to have really bad deals compared to wind mobile and pc mobile (which dont work on Iphones).
Lost phone. If I can get to voicemail, is it still ok? Out of battery, too.? Recently (yesterday), i seemed to either lose or misplace my cell phone. It was also low on battery and its completely drained now. Well, I just called my phone and I could still get to the voicemail. Does this mean that my phone is ok and the sim card is still in it? Or should I be worried and call my phone provider to temporarily disable it? Pleeeaaasssse help~~~~!!!!! I've gotten super frustrated/worried over this!!
If you plan on buying the Iphone, what are your reasons? Now before I go more into my question, let me just say that I have nothing against apple, I love my mac. So if you are planning to buy and Iphone, what are you're reasons? Im extremely curious to know cause the way I see it, theres nothing super special about it. The only differences I can come up with at the moment, when compared to my current pocket pc(XV6700) phone, which is: -much larger storage -visual voicemail(which isn't a huge difference anyways) -all-touchscreen -OS other than those factors, my phone has the exact same features, or can be upgraded to have the same features. So if you are planning to get one, why? it not only does the same thing as other PDA phones, its ridiculously expensive for what it is. -at least $500 4 phone -another $175 if you have to change providers -probably phone bill will be at least $90 per month(data plan required from what Ive heard) -figure in $30-$50 for accessories -insurance(you'd be stupid not to at $500) I only paid $90 4 my phone. very interesting so far: just to add to my post: -never said mine had more storage(in fact that was listed as a difference) -Iphone max is 8gigs, not 20 -average movie in mp4 format is about 7 gigs depending on compression technique. A Tv show would be closer to what you described. - i can get google maps too -I may not be able to get youtube, true, but on a technical level I could, if a mobile phone version of flash 9 was released. -My videos and mp3s are, actually, quite organized. -true, there are things I would be willing to pay over $500 for, but, I don't on account of those things usually being impractical. -Apple, within the past few years, has started to slip on their quality control, my new laptop which I just bought(yes its over $500, but I need it for school cause I do graphic design) had to be replaced twice. -full html web browsing is available via Opera Mobile last I looked.
Blackberry Voicemail? I set up my blackberry's voicemail, and I call it and it asks what my temporary password is. One problem, I dont remember it. I thought I did, but it says its wrong, so it must be. Is there the same temporary password they always used, if so what is it. Or, is there a way to call my phone provider and ask about it. Thanks for the help.
How do people find out your details over the internet? I have an online friend who told me he could find out my ISP and my mobile phone company, he did and he was right! I trust him but I'm still concerned how someone can find out this information, does anyone know how he did it? We have been in contact through phone, MSN and emails (hotmail). I don't have the voicemail on my phone turned on so he couldn't have found out my mobile phone provider that way. Thanks
VOICEMAIL GREETING TIPS? i want to change my voicemail greeting on my cell phone. you know.. when you call someone and they don't answer it usually says.. "hi, you've reached ___ please leave a message after the tone" ?? yeah i want to change that on my cell. it currently is recorded by my cell phone provider and i want to change it to my own. what should it say?? i don't want it all boring like the example i just gave. my sister's cell use to say " hello?? Dialing T-mobile voicemail? I have T-Mobile as a cell phone provider and I've been having some really annoying issues with my service. 9 times out of 10 after I call my voicemail box to check new messages and then I disconnect the call, the message waiting indicator is still present saying I have new messages. I call back, no new messages. I end up having to reset my phone, power it off, power it back on. The other thing it does after calling my voicemail is it loses service to the point where it won't make any additional calls, just says CALL FAILED CALL FAILED continuously until I reset the phone. Anyone ever had this issue?
An answering machine that responds to voicemail (verizon)? When I walk in the house I would like to be able to look at the answering machine (phone) and see if there are messages. I do not want to have to pick up the phone and listen to a tone to hear whether or not there are messages waiting. Does anyone know if there's an answering machine that monitors the dialtone to see if there are messages and then shows a light when there are? Thanks. (Verizon is my local service provider)
How do u leave a voicemail w/o making the person's phone ring & while using private # aka *67? My service provider is Sprint. I want to leave a voice message WITHOUT their phone ringing AND WITHOUT them knowing my number. I want to be able to *67 them and go straight to their voicemail. How would I be able to do that? I know how to go straight to people's voicemail. I want to know how I can do it by using *67. I tried using *67 when I went to voicemail settings and when it told me to type a 10 digit number I tried using *67 and it didn't work. I want to know how I can use *67 AND go to someone's voicemail without their phone ringing!

Company won't answer emails or call, but taking money? I've been trying to contact my internet provider to request for a cancelation. It's been weeks and they have yet to respond. I've left a voicemail, and sent emails. Is there a way to contact my bank and cut them off at the source? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
How can I track the number? I got a call on my cell phone last night around 2:45AM. It came up as "private", so obviously they blocked it on purpose. They left quite the voicemail, talking sh!t about my boyfriend...which is completely immature and stupid. I want to figure out at least who it was, if not be able to call them back and ask them what their problem is. How can I track it? Maybe call my cell phone provider [AT&T]?
Anyone out there know of a truly free fax service? Every free ad I see is not really free.? I have occasion maybe 2-3 times a month that I need to receive a fax. Every free fax service I find has a monthly charge. I have a fax machine/printer/scanner but can't get it to work with my computer/phone/voicemail therefore I was searching a stand alone provider. Didn't want to spend much just to receive 2-3 faxes, sometimes none, per month. Maybe I need to spend more time establishing the one I already have.
Nuisance Calls - Reverse Phone Number lookups in the UK? I have several UK landline numbers that keep calling and hanging up. When ever I call back there is no answer and no voicemail option. I have reported the issue to my service provider. Are there any free web based services which allow you to search by a phone number to find out who is calling? There are hundreds of services for the US which do this, but I cant find any for the UK.
Can't tansfer call with AT&T 984 phone to an outside #? I have an AT&T 984 phone system. I can transfer calls to other phones on the system, but not to another phone #. I need to transfer to another phone # to send people to voicemail boxes, hosted by our phone provider (cbeyond.com). Is anyone familiar with these phones? Is there any way to do this without buying new phones?
Spectrum Research Inc Screen Machine? )))Question((( Has anyone else had this issue and how can I solve this? )))Issue((( The Screen Machine by Spectrum Research seems to be blocking my VoiceMail System provided by the cable service provider. )))Website((( Their website is down 12pm's Eastern Time on Sept.6.08 http://www.spectrumresearchinc.com/ Sorry the time should say 12am's.
Blocking incoming phone numbers? Is there any landline phones that can block numbers from calling? Like on mobile phones, where you can select only numbers from your phonebook to ring, any others not in the list will just go to voicemail? I know phone service providers can block calls, such as witheld ones or specific numbers, but if a phone has this feature I would be happier, since there is a charge for blocking numbers, and the person I don't wish to talk to isn't worth that! (I don't mind buying a phone, though, since my one isn't all that great anyway!).
Free Phone Service? I want to start a business but need my phones to work so I want 2 free phone lines free service providers VOIP and i need voicemail to direct to my pc and a on hold player need help.
Verizon users I need help? I just got a new cell phone and I'm using Verizon as my service provider. I was wondering if you get free minutes after 9 pm and also if it charges anyone else minutes to check your voicemail?
Right to Privacy Violated? My wife left work early on wednesday because she was having chest pains. She went to the emergency room to have it checked out. While she was out, our healthcare provider attempted to reach her at work. Her co-worker answered the phone, informed them that my wife was not there, and asked if she could take a message for her. The lady from our healthcare provider said that she could only talk to my wife, and asked if she could be tranfered to my wife's voicemail. The co-worker said yes and transfered her to my wife's voicemail. When my wife returned to work on thursday, her co-worker informed her that their boss had, after hearing that our healthcare provider was tranferred into my wife's voicemail, logged on to my wife's work computer, accessed her voicemail, and played the message on speakerphone loudly enough for others to hear. Then, after listening to the message, she deleted it, and never said a word to my wife. My wife still does not know what the message was about. Is this legal? And, if not, what options do we have here? My wife and I feel like her right to privacy has been violated and she is no longer comfortable working there. It's a small company, and the head of the HR department at the company headquarters is a close friend of my wife's boss. She feels she has nobody to report this to, and we just really want to discuss the legality of what her boss did, and whether or not we have grounds for any kind of legal action against her or the company. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We live and work in California if that matters. Thank you very much.
Verizon Wireless Easypay prepaid plan.? I have Verizon Wireless right now, and I have one of the prepaid plans, but it charges me 99 cents a day whether I use my phone or even just check my voicemail which gets expensive. Cause half of my minutes end up disappearing and I never use them cause the dumb daily access fee. So I saw another prepaid plan Verizon has and it's $50 and that's for 350 anytime minutes, 3,000 night and weekend minutes. Plus I'll pay an extra $5 for 250 text messages. I was also looking at virgin mobile and for $35.99 you get 300 anytime minutes and 1,000 night/weekend minutes but I love Verizon, so I don't really want to switch, plus Verizon seems like the better deal. Does $55 seem good for how many minutes you would get considering it's prepaid? I can't get a plan cause my credit sucks. Verizon, Cingular and Virgin Mobile are the only providers that offer night/weekend minutes which is what my main concern is, but Cingular is the same deal as Verizon's Inpulse, they charge $1 a day. Thoughts?
I just lost my cell phone! What do I do now? I was out bar-hopping with some friends last night. (please don't judge me) I think I left my cell phone in a taxi cab! I called the taxi company when I realized it was missing (2 hours later), and explained the situation to them, and they claim they are looking for it. I'm not naive enough to believe that if someone has it they will return it. It was a brand new Blackberry for goodness sake! So new in fact, that I hadn't had time yet to seek out some Blackberry insurance for it. I tried calling it again this morning and there's no ringing, it just goes straight to voicemail. I'm most concerned that whoever has it has access to my email accounts. I'm about to call the cell phone service provider and have them block the phone from service. Is there anything else I should about it?
AT&T Wireless - How to turn off automated outgoing message? AT&T wireless - I want to turn off the automated voice that plays after my personalized outgoing message for voicemail. It is wasting the time of people who call me and vice versa when I call AT&T wirelss customers. If someone doesn't know that to leave a message you talk after the beep then I don't want to talk to them anyway. Does anyone know which voicemail menu options need to be changed for this, if it's possible at all? I know this is a billing racket for wireless providers, the longer they keep people on the line waiting, the more minutes they can charge. It's just the annoying 16 seconds that I shouldn't have to wait EVERY TIME. macius - your answer is along the right lines, but when voicemail picks up, it still first plays my personal greeting then goes into the nice lady who says "if you would like to page this person, please press 5...." and so on. i don't ever want people calling me to hear her voice. how can i turn it off completely without people having to press # or * to skip over it?
Invent a holiday!? Come up with your most creative or useless holiday! Mine are: Eat-out day. All men of the world must spend the day orally pleasing any woman who commands them to. Love your cellphone provider day - This is where you call your voicemail and then set the phone down, letting it burn through all of your call minutes. Movie theatre food day. This is where you cash your paycheck and eat all three meals from a multiplex, but don't see a movie. Expensive!
very very confused-need guy's advice please? ok-dated a guy for the last few months-great chemistry, etc. After what I thought to be an enjoyable week-end a couple weeks ago- he began ignoring my e-mails calls, etc. But last week he called me and left a nice voicemail even calling again a half a hour after leaving his message, I noticed by caller ID. Now i've tried calling him and his phone has been disconnected- This was a guy who really wanted a relationship and I am not quite ready for that yet but was honest with him and figured we could be friends with benefits though at least because that was so great. Anyway- he called me a couple times last week so I assume he never was upset for when he didn't respond prior- Do you guys disconnect your phone or change your number to avoid someone's calls? Isn't that a pain and time consuming? And why would he even call me back last week if I was such a bother? I suppose he may have just changed providers? HELP!!!!!
Trac Phone Questions? -If someone calls my trac phone and i talk to them does it use up my minutes since they called me? -If someone leaves me a voicemail does it use up my minutes? -If I call someone with the same provider do I get mobile to mobile?
did I get ripped off or what? I bought a new cell motorola L6 almost a year ago okay, from ebay.... I find out after experiencing all these issues with it...mainly getting a text message, sometimese 3 or 4 with crazy symbols ...after checking my voicemail. I can't respond to it, there's no number showing where it is coming from, and now I cannot use the keybad on menu options whether calling 611 or 411 or any number with "press a certain no." menu options???? so I find out I bought this cell which is actually made for use in another country???? what can I do about this? Cingular of course isn't going to help me out here... I didn't buy the phone from them and was lucky enough to get my network settings in there to use the phone w/my current provider. Is there anything I can do? Motorola says contact the Motorola in that country??? but what the heck???
Would you join my network? I've been looking at netwrk providers & seen that they charge too much and it's very easy to win more customers The way I see it is if o2, T-mobile or Vodafone do a better deal but lock you in longer - virtually all the nation would join to one network -makin it very cheap cost effecti So we have the big original network license/companies in the UK: T-Mobile, o2, Vodafone and orange(they are rubbish). Also, the other license is 3G hutchinson.. they are the worst.. What we would need to do is: have a UK only based customer service - never be perfect cos we are human - but it's a start We would make it cheaper... My tarrifs would be as follows: 240 mins a month 240 texts 24 mms £16 per month 324 mins 224 texts 24mms for £19 324mins 324texts 24mms for £24 500mins 250texts 20mms for £32 700mins 300 texts 20mms for £36per month 1240mins 1240texts 24mms for £44 per month on 24 month contracts. free voicemail to a free voicmail to all. also the network would be called 24! i would introduce higher end tariffs for big talkers...too! all of these would include free phones according to tariff grades.. ****8Martin G The Next Prime Minister **** Your not totally correct as o2 offer these sort of deals to customers after 24 months of loyalty to there network! You are half right though, the networks have to pay a set price for the network license's which the government lease out for x amount of years!
Lost cell phone (T-Moible).? I pay for my family's Family Plan with tmobile. my brother just had is backpack stolen with the phone inside. i tried calling but it goes directly to voicemail so i'm assuming they've either tossed the sim or the phone is out of batteries. i plan on calling tmobile tomorrow to cancel that line just in case the person who stole it plans on using it or adds extra features that will be costly to me. my one year contract ends at the end of feburary and i plan on switching providers. how much is it going to cost me to disconnect my brother's phone line? what is the best thing i should do? thanks for any answers!
