Why do wireless providers attach those stupid comments at the end of your voicemail greetings? AT&T/Cingular - Block a phone number and directly to voicemail? Let's say...I call this person and it rings one time (about 5-10 seconds) and sends me directly to her voicemail. I then call again with *67 (means you block your number when calling out), her phone rings 30 seconds and goes to the voicemail. I know that she is not with her phone at the moment. I test again and use another cell phone to call without *67, it rings for 30 seconds and goes to voicemail. Does it mean she blocks my number?

Can someone tell me how to keep my dad from overflowing my voicemail? My father has had a history of storming my voicemail, my mother's, and my brother's. It's so aggravating to have to go through every one he sends just to get to the important messages others leave me. About 19/20 voicemail messages are from him and nearly always very mundane and unimportant information. I've tried reasoning with him. I've told him to stop doing it. We argue over it. He even promises he won't do it. It's maddening. Before I give up using voicemail at all, I want to know if I can somehow censor/block/ his voicemail so that when I check it I don't have to spend 30 minutes going through all of my dad's crap. I do answer my dad's calls but I can't answer all of them b/c I'm in college and in often in class. He sometimes calls multiple times a day and tries to "keep tabs" on me and my college. Another important detail I missed out on is that my dad pays the bill so I can't redo my number.

My husband left and I can't get ahold of him...at all? We were at my in-laws earlier and he got mad at me for something, he got kinda mad, not irate or anything, but was ticked off about something, I'm not even sure what he was mad about, but anyway, he left and said he was going to town and would be back in a little bit, this was at like 7:40, and he never came back. I finally left and came home about an hour ago but I can't get ahold of him at all. He won't answer my phone, his mom's phone, my parent's phone, even a gas station. He's not ignoring the calls, I can tell when he ignores them, they are ringing the entire time and then going to voicemail. I just tried again and it's going straight to voicemail, which mean his phone is dead or he turned it off...... What do I do? I'm really worried. In the past he has talked of suicide, he was in some legal trouble and it's not quite resolved, today he bought a new pistol. He seemed fine earlier, we went out and shot it and things and he was in a great mood until he got mad for no reason. I'm really worried. What do I do? I don't have the gun, he just got it today, and we havent even been home, we've been together all day shooting it, and when he left it was still in his truck. He always keeps a gun with him though, it's not just a one time thing... But as I was driving home I realized that hey he has a gun, he's mad and has been depressed and will not answer anyone :'( He's already been to a mental hospital, at first they were worried, but after a week they said he was fine, only bipolar. I can't call the police, with the trouble hes already been in, and him having a pistol being underage for one, I can get him sent to prison....because until his court, anything he does that is illegal can automatically send him back until court. and he's not old enough to legally possess a pistol. So I can't call them... I can't find him no one can, there is one place he could have gone, to his grandparents, where there is no cell phone service, but I don't know if he would have driven that far and still not get ahold of me

Verizon Brigade cell phone not sending/recieving text or voicemail messages, can't delete text inbox either? Just wondering if there are any other ideas I can try. Phone makes & recieves calls just fine....but if I miss a call & the caller leaves a voicemail, it never registers to the phone OR to my voicemail inbox if I call the number directly. Phone won't send texts; just says "sending" indefinitely without even bringing up an error message. Won't recieve texts either. I tried deleting messages in my inbox in case a full inbox was causing the problem....it lets me select & "delete" messages, and it even says "deleted"....but then I go back into the inbox and the message is still there, available to be read. If I try to "delete all" at the same time, it says there aren't any messages to delete. I changed the "message view" option so that it shows messages in order of the time they were recieved instead of in a "threaded" order...found this tip online from somebody with the same issue. Now I can't even OPEN my inbox. I've taken the battery out of the phone & put it back in at least 4 times. I downloaded a software update last night. I updated my roaming options this afternoon. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Verizon going through all the basic troubleshooting steps & to no avail. They're going to put in a "trouble ticket" and get back to me in a few days with some sort of answer or solution. I don't *think* it's a network issue, as my husband was home all weekend & his phone was getting messages the whole time. There *is* an Alltel tower nearby that is being converted to AT&T so I had wondered about a tower outage or something causing an issue, but I'm doubtful. In the meantime I figured I'd try to see what I could do to troubleshoot the phone myself. I HATE getting refurbished replacement phones; they're almost always glitchier than the original equipment....if I can fix THIS one I'd like to do so. Any techie wizards out there with any ideas?? Anyone else with a Brigade having this problem?? Thanks, Nathan....makes me feel a little better about the idea of getting a replacement phone....I have a feeling that's what's going to happen in the end, too. I wanted to add, that for some reason the phone DOES allow me to send picture messages....but NOT plain text! And when it sends the picture, it auto-saves the message, then freezes up entirely. I have to pry off the battery cover & take out the battery to shut it off when it does this. It froze up after a picture message a couple times prior to this (I've only had this phone about 2 months), but it always worked again after I rebooted it, until now. Just figured I'd add that bit of info in case it makes a difference.

Why do I get a text message every time I check my voicemail? I have AT&T, with a Razr phone and every time I check my voicemail, I get a text message from something that looks like it may be a symbol of an antenna with an "@" after it. Any way to change timestamp on my voicemail? Here's the deal... when I get a missed call that goes to voicemail, my call log will tell me the correct time of the missed call. However, the voicemail will say the message was sent an hour earlier than it really was. Is there any way to fix this??? The call log is right, but the voicemail is off. Just a bit annoying...
