How do I know when I have a Comcast Voicemail? I just signed onto Comcast digital voice. This may seem like an obvious question but how in the world do I know when I have a new message? I don't see an answer to this in Comcast's own FAQ. I don't have a phone that informs me of new voicemail. Whenever I pick up the phone I always hear 4 beeps before the dial tone. This does not change when I have new voicemail.

Can you recommend an expandable cordless phone system that has a voicemail waiting indicator for Comcast VM? I'm looking for a new expandable cordless phone system. I use Comcast for my voice provider, and I use their voicemail. I need a phone system that does not have an answering system and that can notify me when I have voicemail waiting. looking at specs for these phones makes it hard to tell if they will do this, and most seem to have integrated answering systems.

Switching from Verizon to Comcast? We just recently switched from Verizon to Comcast for business voicemail & internet. I noticed now that when someone calls they are not leaving messeges so i called my business phone and it doesn't have the greeting that i had on their before asking them to leave name and number and where they are calling and what not, now it says it has been transferred to automated voicemail, i'm guessing that's with comcast but how do i add my own greeting the way i had it before? i know i can call comcast and ask but just want to hear it from someone that has this service. When Comcast installed all this they didn't leave me any type of booklets or anything to help me get started, I was away on vacation and my husbands nephew was here at the time and i very much doubt he asked for a booklet. Thanks in advance!
The Comcast commerical song? Comcast made commerical that was like a re-make of a song, I want to know the name of the origonal song, not that one that Comcast changed the lyrics to. The Comcast lyrics are: LYRICS: New sensation sending shivers Flying further, dreaming bigger Single cable, one decision Internet, phone, television High speed internet elation Crazy fast acceleration Awe inspiring, screaming, yelling ROTFLOLing Voicemail, email, all connected Caller ID, friend detected Kelly calling, conference Karen So much stuff to share with Sharon More HD, awesome edition Death defying definition Ninjas, cowboys, gangsters, coppers Huge explosions, helicopters Films fantastic, shows outstanding Motherload of on demand-ing Hometown showdown, perfect timing Courtside, kicking back, unwinding Happy hi-tech automatic Exponentially ecstatic Speeding forward, future hopping Always dreaming, never stopping C-O-M-C-A-S-T C-O-M-C-A-S-T & it sounds kind of techno-ish, and they never repeat themselves.
How do I look someone up if they have Comcast Digital phone service? My cell phone went dead this morning and my mother happened to call me and left a voicemail letting me know that the number on my caller id is her new phone number. Problem here is that since my phone was dead, I did not recieve the caller ID and I have no other way of getting a hold of her. She live 90 miles from me and I know that she has Comcast for her home phone service. Anyone know how to look someone up in this situation since the yellow pages are useless for Comcast.

Business Phone Lines-VOIP? I have a technical question about our business phone lines. We are a business that currently has 4 lines with Verizon and do VOIP in-house through our server. We have 1 main office number and different extensions that branch off that main number. We also have voicemail through a server and do everything through VOIP in house. We are now moving and are going with Comcast to get the phone lines needed. We put in an order for 2 phone lines with voicemail and we no longer want to run the VOIP solution in-house through our server. What are our options to continue to be able to run this successfully? We basically want to be able to have people call our main number and press 0 to speak to a receptionist, leave a voicemail if the receptionist doesn't answer, and dial an extension to get to someone in particular, or leave them a direct voicemail if they don't answer. I don't know if i need more than 2 lines with Comcast and I have no idea how to get this to work.
Is Skip Tracing accurate? Last week (4/22/2011) my wife and I both received a voicemail from a collection agency about a delinquent account. The collection agency (Stellar Recovery, Inc.) gave my wife the last four digits of her SSN and her DOB. We find out that the account is a Comcast account. She has never had a Comcast account, EVER. Secondly, we find out that the account was originally opened Jan of 2008. My wife and I bought a house 1 & 1/2 years back and there was no record of a delinquent Comcast account on her report, in fact I still have the printout that the mortgage company used. When we received the phone call, I checked her credit with all 3 bureaus and there was no record of delinquent account. I checked today (4/30/2011) and it is now on her credit report. We know that the account went from Comcast, to a collection agency that Comcast uses, to Stellar Recovery. HOW DID STELLAR RECOVERY GET MY WIFE'S INFO, AND MY PHONE NUMBER? Did they do something illegal to obtain her information and assume she is the same person they are looking for? We have done some research and found that some collection agencies use Skip Tracing, as well as private investigators. Some additional info: The person they are looking for has the same name as my wife NOW, but back in 2008, my wife was still using her maiden name. In fact, my wife did not take my name until 2009. The person they are looking for lived in the same town AND the same street as us, but at a different time and at an address on the other side of the street. Any info please. Thank you.
Cheap TV, phone, and internet? My parents are tired of comcast giving us defective cable boxes. We're on our 5th defective box in less than a year, and my parents pay too much for that to happen. They pay around $200 for cable, and it's just too much. Not only is it too expensive, but comcast then gives us defective boxes and charges us for visits to fix them!! So, We want a triple play, but we'll settle for 2 different companies. We want a download speed of at least 15 mbps, preferable 18 or above, and upload speed of at least 3 mbps. We're not picky about TV, as long as we have the following: HBO HD A&E FOX Nickelodeon Cartoon Network Disney Channel TruTV Comedy Central The Weather Channel Speed Discovery Channel Discovery Fit&Health (not god awful OWN) We's also like FOX, A&E, and TruTV in HD if we could. We need a phone plan that has caller ID, voicemail, and call waiting. And lastly, it can't go over $160 a month after a year.
Internet without a Land Line in Mississippi? We're thinking of switching from our current internet service with CableOne in Winona, MS 38967 and switching to another service provider, but we're having trouble finding something that's affordable and does not require a landline, as we use cellphones. CableOne recently made some changes to the services they offer, and now the cheapest internet they offer is 3Mb for $43 a month (website not yet updated). Currently we are on an outdated plan, which is 384k for $23 or so a month. Bellsouth/AT&T offers DSL without a landline (aka naked or free-standing dsl) for $19.95 a month (for 768Kbps), but apparently our address does not qualify for this, though I think I'll call and make sure. If it really does not qualify, we would have to spend at least $20 on a landline we would never use other than for the internet. Other DSL and internet providers are the same, they require a landline phone. I've looked into Comcast, but we were considering getting DirecTv for cable, and the only way it's cheap is when you have the Comcast tv service as well. I've looked into lots of other places as well. So...suggestions anyone? I don't suppose there's anyplace that will give you a landline for dirtcheap? We don't need voicemail, caller ID, long distance, or anything, because the only use for the line would be for internet usage, but it'd have to be on all the time I guess, not sure how DSL works in that respect. I've looked into satellite internet providers already, and the cheapest I've seen was 50 or so dollars, and we can't really afford that. There was a promotional price for around 40 dollars, but it shot right back up to the regular, more expensive price soon after.
Im in NYC and need Cheaper Cable/Phone/Internet Service? Besidesd Time Warner?? I currently have Time Warner Cable, it used to be like 90 a month for the first year, now its 170.00...Its the triple play thing..Its way too expensive..Though i have Roadrunner at 10mbps and many channels and ok service for my fone(no 3 way calling or voicemail) I need something cheaper. My area doesnt have Optimum, I think RCN might be ok or ComCast or anything someone can suggest to me... I spoke to a time warner rep. he told me to call the "Retention Department" and say that I've been a customer for 8,9 years and should get some lower monthly bill... Helppppppp...
