how do i get an iphone voicemail into a file on my imac?

i have a 24" imac, a few months old. is there any software already installed i can use to record sound? do you think it will work on the built in mic, do you know where the mic is on an imac? haha Or is there an easier way to just get the original file off the iphone somehow and download it? Nevermind. 1. the file is not actually on the phone its on your providers server play the message with speakerphone on and record with your imac use the program audacity to record it.
