Voicemail

Why do wireless providers attach those stupid comments at the end of your voicemail greetings?

Whenever I call someone's voicemail or if someone gets mine, after the recorded greeting is another dumb voice that pipes in "If you would like to page this person press whatever, if you would like to leave a voicemail wait for the beep." (As if we didn't know how to leave a voicemail, I think answering machines only had the beep and have been around for like twenty years) Anyways, it adds like 10-15 more seconds and I find it very irritating.
