Voicemail

I got a Motorola A1200 online and it has internet/bluetooth capability, but doesn't work...?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to program the phone to make the features work. I got it from a friend and he bought it online w/out a new service contract from one of these online cell phone vendors, but everytime that I call the voicemail, it calls his new cell phone. We couldn't figure out how to make it call mine instead of having to go to the screen and dial my number everytime. Any information will be helpful. Thanks!
