Visual voicemail on iPhone 3G?

Our cell phones were turned off for 1/2 a day because of a situation with a stupid internet air card that was on the same account with my cell phones. Anyway, once I got it all straightened out and our phones were turned back on, the voicemail isn't working. My phone just rings and never switches to voicemail. Because it is an iPhone and has visual voicemail, the person at AT&T couldn't help me. Do you have any ideas at all? I went through and set the greeting and passcode, but, it still doesn't go to voicemail. Grr...

1. Call AT&T tech support. If they told you they couldn't help you then you just had a stupid technician answer your call. There is a Visual Voicemail feature on your account, you can see it on your bill and it says it's $0.00. It needs to be there for the voicemail to work. They may need to remove your iPhone data plan and re-add it.
