Help! can i keep my voicemail number as I switch my service? please read?

We currently use AOL Voicemail for our home business. recently we've received notice that they are shutting down that service. Problem is, we have expensive sales advertisements displaying that number. Question:can we keep that number some how? by switching to cell phone land-line...anyway? thanks!

1. You definitely would not be able to keep that number. Do you think you are the only customer they had? There are probably a lot of people in the same boat as you now and all would probably like to be able to keep it. If they are not going to reuse the number for some other purpose then it will go in to an inactive pool for a certain amount of time and then it will be up to the owner of the number to issue it back out to whomever they please
