Are there alternate ways to check my voicemail with AT&T?

I recently bought a pre-owned phone to use with my new AT&T account. When I press '1' to access my voicemail account, it calls the previous owners' number. When I call my own number on the phone, there's nothing but a dial tone. Are there any alternate ways to access my voicemail?

1. If calling your own number doesn't work they probably didnt set up your voicemail on the account. Contact AT&T to have it fixed.
