Voicemail

How do I get voicemail on my unlocked iPhone?

I just bought an unlocked iPhone and I'm using it for T mobile. When I put my SIM card in, everything worked great, except it says it cannot connect to voicemail. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
