how do you set up the voicemail for the at&t vu?

i have the vu and im not sure how to set up the voicemail so when someone calls me and i dont answer they can leave me a message. can anyone explain to me how to do this? thanks :)

1. usually you just type in your own number and call it, like if your number was 727-777-777 then thats what you type in and it will call your voicemail and if it is not setup then it will giv you directions to set it up
2. Access voicemail from the wireless device 1. Press and hold the dedicated voicemail access key. (This is typically the number "1" key.) 2. If prompted, enter voicemail password. (The default/temporary password is the 7 digit wireless number--no area code.) 3. Follow the prompts to set up your voice mail.
