Turn the voicemail feature off my verizon cell phone?

Turn the voicemail feature off my verizon cell phone? I will like to turn off voicemail form my verizon cell phone without calling up and request them to disable it, is there any way for me to do it on my phone so i can turn it on and off whenver i want?

1. So if you turn off voicemail and people call ......... where would the call go?? The only thing you can do is forward a call to voicemail or another phone.
2. You can call VZW and have them remove that feature from your phone.
3. Just call your VM and listen to the prompts to see if there is a way to disable it. It might be under administer options or something. I dont know. I worked for them and I thought the only way was for them to do it. Oh... i bet you could remove it (since it is a feature) with your online acct. Go under your regular plan and minutes area and see if its listed there.
