How to turn off Cavalier's Voicemail?

I live in South East Virginia and have Cavalier Phone Service. I have tried emailing them and will call soon when they are open if this doesn't work. I am trying to turn off their free voicemail service. I set it up earlier this year but since I did I never check messages and would like to have my messages go to my old answering machine. any help would be appreciated

1. you are going to have to call them to remove the VM from your line... until that point, you can set your answering machine to answer with fewer ring, so that the call does not have a chance to get to voice mail..
