What is the design of a virtual office?

Due to fuel prices and traffic congestions, offices can be run with computer network. Do we have good examples of such organisations? How frequently level I people meet? How frequently level II, level III staff required to visit office? How to define working hours, leave etc. Whether all customer activities possible? I'm from India
