Voicemail

My cell phone and Internet are BOTH acting weird...what is wrong?

I suddenly stopped receiving text messages about an hour ago (I was texting with 4 people), and now my phone keeps intermittently telling me that there is no service. And even when there is service, the texts don't come in and I can't listen to my new voicemail. I do live out in the sticks, but I've always had at least enough service to send and receive messages. My Internet (DSL) started acting up around the time I stopped receiving texts; half the time when I click on something, the page fails to load. This rarely happened until now. Why would they both be acting up at the same time? What's the problem and what should I do?

1. go to the service providers store. my phone did this and something was wrong with my internal server (the store fixes this)
