motorola v3 keypad is not working while on phone(voice mail or automated systems)?

Hello. I bought Motorola V3. I called a bank and tried to push a number as they asked. It does nothing even though I pushed the right number. For example, the system says "If you want to talk to a customer representative, please press 1" so I pushes 1. Nothing happens. It keeps repeating the same request. My cell phone is Motorola V3. 1. It sounds as though your DTMF tones are turned off. 1. From the stand by screen, press the Menu key. 2. Scroll to "Settings", then press Select. 3. Scroll to "Initial Setup", then press Select. 4. Scroll to "DTMF", then press Change. 5. Choose Long, then press Select.
