How can I deactivate my voicemail in at&t?

It's model is Nokia 6085, i don't want my voicemail anymore, i tought it was free... :( please answer thanks!

1. I believe voice mail is free, anyways if you wanna deactivate it then just call customer care and they'll do it for you. and that's customer's care #: 1-800-331-0500
2. Umm...voicemail IS free, but it uses your minutes while you are checking it. If there is an extra charge on your bill then you may have signed up for something like "enhanced voicemail" without realizing it. In any case, call your customer service number and they will help you sort it out.
3. Call customer service to have them remove the feature off the account. They will remove it for you.
