Voicemail

my razr just popped up this message that says insert sim but the little voicemail icon is up at the top?

i don't see how it could still pick up info like having a voicemail if it's not reading my sim. other cards are working in the phone, but this one doesn't work.

1. Hi Lilly, I have had trouble with my Sim. Here is how to fix it. Remove your battery and take out the Sim card and lay it on a flat surface with the copper contacts facing up. With a pencil eraser rub the entire copper surface very firmly to clean it. Wipe off with a paper towel. Put the Sim back in your phone, replace your battery and turn the phone on. Your Sim should be OK now. Norm
