Voicemail

Is there a way to retrieve a voicemail using other cellphone?

I have a friend who is very open with his current relationshipS, and has been telling me that he has two girlfriends at the same time. He just called me a while ago and was asking me if there's a way for the other person to retrieve his voicemail from other cellphone. His GF even put it in speaker mode and he really heard the voicemail which was actually left to his unit. IS THAT POSSIBLE? If so, how do they do that?

  1. with most cell phones if you call that cell phone number from any phone you can retrieve its voice mail as long as you know the password. just call the cellphone number and when the voicemail message picks up press # and enter your password and you can retrieve the messages even if you are calling from a land phone or other cell phone or whatever.
  2. I have Verizon. Just wait until the message comes on press the pound key (#) then put in the pin number. Easy as that.
  3. If they have the password(usually a 4 digit code) and entered it when the voicemail first picks up they could very well listen to it from another phone.
  4. I had SK3 before with T-mobile and I used to retrieve my messages with my landline or friend's phone since I didn't want to use up all my minutes....Of course you need to set up a password before voice mail can be accessed.... so yeah it's possible. I'm not sure if it works with other carriers but worked with my SK3!
  5. yes if u mean voicemail on a cell phone. all u have to do is call the number wait for the voicemail message and press star (*) and know the password. you can also do this without even actually calling the phone. if u have the same service provider just go into your voicemail and somewhere in the options it'll say send voice mesage to another mailbox. you enter the other persons number, wait for the voicemail message, press star and enter the password. hope i explained it clear enough
  6. when my phone battery died, i took my tmobile sim card and put it into my friend's cingular phone. then i just dialed my own phone number and i got into my voicemail. if your voicemail doesnt have a password then its possible for someone else to just hear your messages, so always password protect it
