How can I check my Cingular voicemail messages without typing in my phone number?
Before I switched to a new Cingular phone I could get my messages by simply calling voicemail and typing in my password, but I got a new phone and now it asks for my 10 digit number. I can't figure out how to change it to the other way.

- just press and hold the number 1 on your keypad. It should automatically connect you to your voicemail.
- I'd call Cingular or read the manual that came with your phone. Mine only asks for the password and that's it. I've never heard of a phone asking for the phone number. Call 'em up!
- you can call cingular and ask them it sounds like it might have a special code or a password that only cingular knows. i had that happen to me before and that what i had to do ok. hope that helps you ok god bless you and merry christmas
- Yeah, my son had trouble w/ his new phone too. We had to call Cingular to get voice mail turned on. Now he's all set. My phone is set up to where I just have to press 1 and it'll call my voicemail. I don't have to punch in any codes or anything unless I call from a different phone.
