Voicemail

How can I check my Cingular voicemail messages without typing in my phone number?

Before I switched to a new Cingular phone I could get my messages by simply calling voicemail and typing in my password, but I got a new phone and now it asks for my 10 digit number. I can't figure out how to change it to the other way.

  1. just press and hold the number 1 on your keypad. It should automatically connect you to your voicemail.
  2. I'd call Cingular or read the manual that came with your phone. Mine only asks for the password and that's it. I've never heard of a phone asking for the phone number. Call 'em up!
  3. you can call cingular and ask them it sounds like it might have a special code or a password that only cingular knows. i had that happen to me before and that what i had to do ok. hope that helps you ok god bless you and merry christmas
  4. Yeah, my son had trouble w/ his new phone too. We had to call Cingular to get voice mail turned on. Now he's all set. My phone is set up to where I just have to press 1 and it'll call my voicemail. I don't have to punch in any codes or anything unless I call from a different phone.
