How do you set how long your cell phone rings until it reaches voicemail?

i have a samsung SGH-a437 and it only sings for like a few seconds and then the voicemail starts. it takes time for me to actually get out my phone and answer so that is why i want to extend the period in which my phone rings.

1. I had to call AT&T to set mine. Call your service provider, they should be able to help you!
2. most phones have a setting section.go into call settings. then call forward and then cancel all calls forward to voice mail.
