Voicemail

Can you leave a message in a cingular voicemail without calling the phone. Is there a main mailbox number?

I am trying to avoid long, drawn out conversations, so if I can just leave the information needed directly in the voicemail, without the risk of calling the phone and the person picking up, that would be excellent!

1. With the new voicemail, you have the feature to leave what we call 'backdoor messages.' Meaning you can leave a message for the person without them knowing you called. Because you are just leaving them a message, you aren't really calling them. Just go into your voicemail, and listen to the options, you should have it. It will say to send a message to someone.
2. if you are also on cingular you might be able to send a message to someone from the voicemail system on your phone (i think option 2 in the menu?) but only if they are in the same area as you, and even that might not work. u could also call 888-5-SENDABUZ or go to sendabuz.com and send a message to anyone's voicemail on their cell. its like sending a text message but its a voice message instead and it goes straight into their voicemail.
