How do i set up voicemail for an alltel LG phone?

I got an LG phone awile back but i cannot figure out how to det up the answering machine thingy!! I tryed like everything basically but idk how!! I want to set up voicemail can anyone help me? I mean how do I personalize my greeting?

1. IDK either - you should try going to LG's website where you should be able to view the manual for that model phone. That's what I had to do on my audiovox. Good luck.
2. type in *86 then if its your first time doing that it will give you instructions on how to make a password and how to personalize a greeting. if its not your first time it will give you options on what you want to check and want to change/voice mail for instans
