4. You can record your own... I did one once in a night club (can also do it by putting loud music on at home)... Shout 'hello, hello, can you hear me.....hello...... ha ha its an answerphone...leave a message'
5. You can have some line noise, pause , someone screaming in back ground, Pause someone shouting call 911. May not be too popluar with your friends though.
6. Years ago before voicemail I made an answering machine message that played this blinding guitar lick - I think it was the tailout of "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince - and faded into my voice saying "Hi, it's John. Sorry, but I'm busy practicing guitar at the moment so I can't come to the the phone ..." It was pretty popular. A variation of the same would work for voicemail.
7. A friend of mine was being stalked by this really annoying guy and so she changed to a new number and in case the guy figured out the new number she had a guy friend the stalker didn't know, come over and leave this as the new answering machine message. "Hello, you have reached the number that you have dialed"
