Voicemail

Is the voicemail service provided by YouMail any good?

I researched it and found some answers, but I would like to hear it from people who have actually used it. Is it really completely free? Is it easy to set up? Can I still check voicemails from my phone? Is it more hassle than helpful?

  3. Yes, the service from YouMail is completely free, but some providers may charge you a small fee for forwarding your voicemail to a different carrier. It is very easy to setup, however, problems can occur, such as your phone having restrictions that do not allow you to forward it, which can be fixed (but takes some work). You can still check voicemails from your phone, you just have to change the number your phone dials for voicemail (which can be done in the settings of most phones, you kinda have to play around with this.) It's very helpful, because you can check your voicemails from your computer without having to call, but it's still very nice to check it from your phone. I really like it, I had some complications with my phone, and it requires an initial text message be sent, but it's a really cool service, because you can personalize based on people in your phonebook. You can also use pre-made ones or make your own. It's a very nice service, and I'd give it a go.
