Voicemail

How do I send a voicemail directly to a number, without having to call until I find the cell busy or off?

I've tried several times through the whole "if you want to send a message press 1..." following the guide from my voicemail. But it won't go through. Am I doing something wrong in regard to the 1 before the area code, or the area code itself... should the WHOLE NUMBER BE DIALLED? And should this number actually have this specific message-receiving service active?

  1. if your trying to send a voicemail message to someone who doesn't have the same carrier as you, it may difficult to send. cuz i'm trying to send someone a voicemail message who is a verizon customer.....i have cingular. usually, when it says to dial the destination number, which is their phone number, it should direct you to their mailbox. everytime i do it, it says destination is not recognized. good luck.....maybe you should just call them or send them a text.
  2. on most mobile carriers, the "send a message" button doesn't work, especially if the other person is on a different carrier. however there's a new service called Sendabuz that allows you to send a message to anyone's cell without the phone ringing. just call 888-573-6322 to use it free.
