Voicemail

How do I set my voice mail if prompted: (If you have a voicemail box on this system press *)?

Even though I'm using my own phone.. My voice mail box doesn't ask me about my password or even anything about the one on the steps written on the manual. I have Nokia 6103 and T-mobile is my network service.
