voice mail?

Okk so whenever someone calls me they say i dont have a voice mail message and it says "if u have voicemail box on this system type in your 10 digit mobile number now". when i try to edit my voice mail I follow the instructions and it says its an invalid number. So i cant edit my voice mail box and it angers me. please help

1. call your phone no. on you cell phone (press 1 on the cell phone it will take u to ur voice mail
2. you need to change your phone's forwarding option. I am going to assume you have AT&T, because i had the same problem with mine. You need to change the number that is listed under "forward calls..." if its a +1402... something like that delete it and press okay. if it will not let you do that, type in your mobile phone number.
3. It sounds like there may be a problem with your voice mail set up thru your company. It actually sounds like they may have the wrong number programmed in, so instead of your callers being sent to voice mail, they may be being sent to the number that you should be reaching to set up your voice mail. Without knowing your carrier, it's hard to say - but try your carrier website (att.com/wireless/phone and device support, for example, has walk thru steps for voice mail set up and issues) Sometimes the issue can be resolved by correcting the message center number in your phone if someone has changed it accidentally, but if your caller's are getting the message you described, they (the carrier) may have to correct that in their systems. If you are not comfortable with the directions that you find, it's best that you NOT make changes to message center numbers, you will just create more problems for yourself if this is not the issue- instead, call the company from a different phone so they can help you correct the issue.
