RAZR phone voice mail not working?

The voice mail on my Razr phone stopped working. Now, when people call and the calls are not answered, they get this message, "if you have voice mail on this system, please enter your ten digit phone number . . .". If voice mail was working, but now it is not, what should I do to repair it? Thank you!

1. I used to get that all the time with my old supervisor's phone number, screwed up voicemail. I usually could not leave a message but sometimes got thru. Complain to the phone company providing you with voicemail since you pay them for that service.
2. Press and hold the "1" key on your phone. Then set it up. If you don't know your password, it's likely to be 0000, 1234 or the last four digits of your SS. Otherwise call the Help Line (usually 611 Send)
3. In most cases you will need to call Tech Support by dialing 611 from your phone or better yet, call the toll free number for your carrier from your home or office phone. They will probably have to remove your voice mail and then re-create it in order to get it set up correctly again. It usually only takes a few minutes and then you can re record your outgoing message.
