Voicemail

What does this number mean "0111" or "0814" when listening to phone messages and the phone number is private?

I will listen to my messages on my voice mail system at home (Verizon) and when a person calls from a private number I will get either a "0111" or "0814" number listed as the number. What does this mean?

  1. hello i;m an telecommunications consultant and what's happening is that eather your voicemail is recoizing that they might be on an centrex system whice is called central office exchange and it's giveing you the mailbox codeing for that system or an local ext in that group on that network or giveing your an prerecoded message that some one has setup as thier pere-name greeting to let others know they are on this service or the mailbox has ext number that they sent or left you a message from or from an pbx system whice is private branch exchange doing the same or give this kind of info instead of thier number or saying private caller gives this above info reguardless of mailbox or it's a part of a number thats from a call from voip network ,it may even be a voicemail peroblem hope this helps you out.
