Is anyone out there a virtual office assistant, and are you making a living at it?

I have been hearing a lot about VOA's, most of it positive. I'd love to work from home, but I don't want to get stung by a scam, or get into it and find out I can make a living at it. I'd appreciate someone who is working as a VOA giving me their opinion. Thanks!

  1. I am VOA but I started my own business and I was lucky to pick up a client from a company that I worked for (the company closed and old company gave client my contact info). I had considered working for a virtual assistant position with an online company but the pay was low for all the skills that they wanted. If you are looking to do this from home, do not pay to work from home! Legitimate companies will not ask you for a fee. Legitimate companies will want you to have skills stay away from job ads stating you only need a pc and do not ask for a resume or application to be filled out. I have met quite a few other people who do this from home. It can be done as long as you have the right skills.
