  1. No it will not work. I tried it when I am in Jamaica but it never works.
  2. Unfortunately, unless it's an international calling card, it will not work for jamaica. BUT I am including a link where you can purchase calling cards to use in jamaica to call the us. To TRULY find out, your best bet would be to call the customer service number for the phone card and ask a representative...good luck! Hope this info helps and have an EXCELLENT trip!
  3. Some (not all) toll free numbers will not work from outside the USA. As a matter of fact, they could set it ip the the toll free only works if you are in that state ONLY. I've see it done many times. If you have a International phone card, it will work but the card will be more expensive or the charge per minutes will be more. it a good idea to check restriction on cards you buy as some will chare fee for use by a pay phone and to or from mobil phones. Have fun and bring me back some ackee and salt fish. ^_^
  4. I tired to pay my cell phone bill from there with no such luck. They do not work. The only way is to get an international calling card and call. I was lucky that my husband had a Digi-Cell phone and I just put a $500JA card on it and made all my calls to pay in bills and talk to my family and friends back home in the states. You can purchase a phone anywhere on the island.
