Can you dial 1800 US toll free numbers from St Kitts?
I am trying to figure out if it is possible to dial US 1800 toll free numbers from St Kitts, because they share the same international dialing code.

- I can't cos i live in the UK
- i believe so
- Not all U.S. toll free numbers can be dialed from out-of-country. It is the choice of the individual business as to whether they want it to be available to other than U.S. areas.
- I live in the Cayman Islands and until a few years ago you couldn't call 1-800 numbers at all, then you could by substituting a different number for the 1-800 (it tells you when you put the number in the phone), but it most definately is not toll-free. It must be the same for you as you have Cable & Wireless in St Kitts too right? So I found the solution - www.skype.com It takes a few minutes to download Skype to your computer, and once you have, you can call other computers with Skype downloaded for free - all you need is speakers and a microphone (saves me a fortune). You can also call regular telephone numbers by buying SkypeOut credit - start at 10 Euros - and once you have some credit (here's where it gets interesting) you can call any toll-free numbers anywhere in the world for free! You can call regular phone numbers for incredibly cheap - less than 3 cents a minute. Lots of people use Skype over here, its great, try it!
- Any place that carries a 1800 toll free number should except calls from anywere, that is the purpose of them having it-they get special rates for paying for the bill and they know your number if they choose caller ID as 1800 number holder. You may need the country code, but that can be better answered by your local operator. Good luck.
