Do employers call using toll free numbers?

Is this common? (Such as if I were to apply for a job and an employer were to call me)

1. It depends on the company. Majority of the time, any inside line at a company appears as one "main number" when calling outside lines. Now if they give you an 800# to contact them, then there is something fishy about that.
